Japan is on holidays this week thanks to a string of public holidays. One of these days was "Respect for Senior Citizen's Day" and on this day mama and the kids did an overnight trip with grandpa and grandma and the cousins to Aso in Kumamoto.
They took the opportunity to use the new Kyushu Bullet train that started in March of this year.
Bennie of course, again fell instantly in love :)
After they arrived they headed straight to their destination for the day, which was Aso Farmland - a good opportunity to get the kids running around and burn off some energy after sitting on the train for a couple of hours.
This was the accommodation for the night.
They hotel had the gardens nicely lit up, which mama always enjoys :)
And of course the moneky show the next day...
Then onto the tram.
The train guard's easy to follow commentary along the way made it very easy to sit back and enjoy the views the Aso area has to offer.
A very enjoyable trip!
